Daniel Boulud is back on the Upper West Side. Brasserie Boulud, the chef's new flagship across Broadway from Lincoln Center, debuted on Thursday, Oct. 8, according to Eater NY.

The restaurant sits at 1900 Broadway, the Lincoln Plaza address that was long home to Bar Boulud and Boulud Sud. Eater describes it as a 10,000-square-foot consolidation of those two restaurants plus Épicerie Boulud, all of which had closed.

What's notable

  • The menu. Eater says it pulls favorites from each of the old spots: seafood towers, French onion soup, steak frites, lobster soufflé, boudin blanc and the return of the DB Burger, plus charcuterie from Maison Vérot and wines from Burgundy and the Rhône. The restaurant's own site describes classic brasserie cooking with seasonal dishes and daily specials.
  • The room. Two stories designed by Rockwell Group, with a large central bar, private dining rooms and a hidden speakeasy, according to Eater and the restaurant.
  • Theater timing. Eater reports that pre- and post-theater menus are returning, timed for Lincoln Center audiences. The New York Film Festival runs there through Monday, Oct. 12.
