Halloween is the last day of The Headless Horseman Files at Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow, Historic Hudson Valley's daytime take on the legend made famous by Washington Irving. Small groups follow a guide on a timed, roughly 45-minute walk around the colonial-era manor, mill and pond, piecing together clues about the Horseman and the real history of the Hudson Valley. Tours run from 10 a.m. through the last slot around 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31. Adult tickets are $35 and children's are $25; buy timed tickets in advance.
