About this event

The Jazz Is Staten Island series wraps up at Snug Harbor's Carpenter's Shop on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 7 to 9 p.m., with doors at 6:30. Local Is Global Part II: Rhythms of the African Diaspora brings bassist Asante Santi Debriano, multi-instrumentalist T.K. Blue, keyboardist Matt Smythe and drummer Juan Chiavassa together. Debriano and Blue both worked with NEA Jazz Master Randy Weston, who would have turned 100 this year, and the night honors that centennial. Presented with Universal Temple of the Arts; tickets are $25 and under.
