About this event

Socrates Sculpture Park closes its season with the free Halloween Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 31, from noon to 5 p.m. on the Long Island City waterfront. The day mixes family art workshops, including a bat-themed Field Guide session and drop-in costume making from reused materials, with henna by Ajna Dance Company, a community resource fair and the Planted Culture Vegan Food Market. The park also hosts what it calls New York's second-largest dog costume contest with Chateau le Woof; registration opens at 1 p.m. at the Chateau le Woof table. Entry is free, and the park asks visitors to RSVP.
