About this event

The Seaport fills Halloween with free family events on Saturday, Oct. 31. The South Street Seaport Museum offers free general admission and a spooky scavenger hunt aboard the 1885 tall ship Wavertree from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., while Pier 16 hosts a Healthful Halloween Fair with Mommy Poppins from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a costume parade at 2 p.m. Neighborhood businesses hand out candy from 3 to 5 p.m. Later, the Old Seaport Alliance runs a Haunted Fish Market with pumpkin painting and cider donuts in Peck Slip Park from 4 to 8 p.m.
