About this event

Dumbo's Halloween tradition starts earlier this year because Oct. 31 falls on a Saturday. Costumed families gather on Washington Street between Front and Water Streets at 3 p.m. for the March to the Arch, led by a brass band and puppets through Brooklyn Bridge Park to the Dumbo Archway. The Archway Party runs 3:30 to 6 p.m. with crafts, live music, a free photo booth and candy. Before that, the Howl-O-Ween dog costume contest is at 2 p.m. on car-free Washington Street at Front Street, and more than 60 small businesses hand out candy from 3 to 7 p.m. Everything is free.
