Lightning Acquires Ryder Korczak from Rangers
The Tampa Bay Lightning have made a significant move, acquiring forward Ryder Korczak from the New York Rangers in exchange for forward Lucas Edmonds. This trade was announced by Lightning vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois.
Korczak, 22, brings a solid AHL record to Tampa Bay. In 35 games this season with the Hartford Wolf Pack, he tallied three goals and 11 points, along with 14 penalty minutes and a +4 rating. His career AHL stats show 12 goals and 31 points over 107 games.
He also boasts Calder Cup Playoffs experience, contributing one goal and two points in 10 postseason games last year.
Originally drafted by the Rangers 75th overall in the 2021 NHL Draft, Korczak's move to Tampa Bay marks a new chapter in his hockey career. The trade adds depth to the Lightning's forward lines.
