About this event
New York Road Runners' Staten Island Half Marathon starts at 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 11. City event permits put the race on Bay Street in St. George and along Father Capodanno Boulevard by the FDR Boardwalk, with street closures from 8 a.m. to about 1 p.m. Watching is free, and St. George is a short walk from the Staten Island Ferry terminal. Drivers on the North and East Shores should plan for detours through early afternoon.
