About this event
NYC Parks opens its interactive Hallowscream Fright Walk at J. Hood Wright Park in Washington Heights on Friday, Oct. 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. The haunted-house walk uses fog, jump scares, flashing lights and loud audio; Parks asks for closed-toe shoes, no jewelry, and no bags inside. Adults must sign waivers, and parental supervision is recommended for kids under 13. The event is free with registration that closes the same day. The recreation center stays closed to regular public access through Oct. 21 for the Halloween setup.
