NYC Dodges a Snow Bullet (Mostly)
A powerful winter storm initially predicted to blanket NYC with nearly half a foot of snow has been downgraded. Instead, the Big Apple is now expected to see only 2 to 4 inches of snow Saturday night, transitioning to rain by midnight.

Despite the reduced snowfall, Times Square transformed into a winter wonderland, with children and adults enjoying the snow.

Areas north of the city, including White Plains and the Hudson Valley, will experience significantly heavier snowfall (5 to 8 inches) and icy conditions. Southern Connecticut and parts of New Jersey could also see substantial snow accumulation. Long Island and northeastern New Jersey are forecasted to receive up to 5 inches.

Sunday will bring sunny skies and highs around 40 degrees in NYC, but icy conditions are possible in the evening. The forecast predicts more winter storms could hit the Northeast by Tuesday, lasting through Thursday.
