Illegal Practices and Severe Consequences

Luther, who operated without a proper New York state license, allegedly knew the Botox was counterfeit. He continued to perform treatments despite several clients reporting serious medical issues. One client, who paid $463 for an injection, suffered from double vision, lightheadedness, difficulty swallowing, heart palpitations, and slurred speech. She was later diagnosed with Botulism toxin.

Bold Actions and Arrest

Even after clients reported adverse reactions, Luther continued his practice until his arrest. He even requested more of the counterfeit Botox from his supplier, asking for 41 bottles for free. He was charged with wire fraud, smuggling, and other crimes related to misbranded and counterfeit drugs.
