 minute walk on Saturday\, Nov. 7\, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.\, about the Battle 
 of Brooklyn\, the first and largest battle of the American War for Indepen
 dence. The tour starts and ends at Lefferts Historic House and climbs to t
 he park's Battle Pass\, where replica fortifications mark the spot where P
 ennsylvania and New England soldiers fought British and Hessian troops on 
 Aug. 27\, 1776. Guides tell the story from several angles\, including the 
 Africans enslaved by the Lefferts family and the soldiers who fought on wh
 at is now parkland. The route goes up an incline on asphalt and mulch path
